The British Lung Foundation is the only charity in the UK that funds research into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of all lung diseases. By unlocking the secrets of the lung, we're taking huge steps towards finding cures for the 40-plus lung conditions in existence.

The National Lung Cancer Forum for Nurses

The National Lung Cancer Forum for Nurses (NLCFN) is as committed and enthusiastic today with over 270 members, as it was when it launched 12 years ago with just 40 members. The NLCFN committee coordinates an annual conference and workshops and collaborative working to positively impact on the care of patients. The NLCFN is represented on all lung cancer improvement and strategic groups in the United Kingdom and is a not for profit organisation that relies entirely on support by charitable and commercial organisations. The NLCFN exists to provide networking and support for nurses specialising in caring for patients with lung cancer. The activities of the group fall into four categories. These are clinical, developmental, educational and professional. Our members work in palliative care, oncology (including specialist cancer centres or units), respiratory medicine, thoracic surgery and for health authorities, community health organisations and charities and provide a diversity that is important to support each other effectively and share experiences and information

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is wholly dedicated to defeating the disease. We are committed to "Fighting Lung Cancer" through our work in Research, Prevention and Patient Care (Support, Information & Advocacy).

Lung Cancer in the UK has a very low public profile. Through our "early diagnosis saves lives" campaign, we can highlight the need for people most at risk to be aware of the signs & symptoms of lung cancer and get checked out early.
