WINNERS - USA
The four US-based members of GLCC – National Lung Cancer Partnership, Prevent Cancer Foundation, CancerCare, and Lung Cancer Alliance – joined together to present the United States Global Lung Cancer Coalition Journalism Awards.
The winners were selected out of 24 finalists, all were from 2009. The three categories were: National Media, Local Media, and New Media.
National Media: Richard Knox of National Public Radio for Non-Smokers Suffer Lung Cancer Stigma, which aired June 29, 2009.
