Lung Cancer Awareness Month initiatives roll-out worldwide

Around 1.8 million people each year die of lung cancer – more people worldwide than are killed by any other cancer. (Data from World Health Organisation)

However, we now live in an era of rapid improvements in terms of treatments, early detection and better organised healthcare. There are solid reasons for real optimism.

Patient advocacy groups worldwide run their own awareness campaigns throughout November. Many are members of the GLCC. As the international ‘voice of the patient’ we proudly stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all people affected by lung cancer.
