18th July 2023

Earlier this year, the Lung Cancer Policy Network published A framework to support the implementation of LDCT lung cancer screening, which incorporates six key elements necessary for the effective implementation of lung cancer screening programmes.

To build on this important resource, the Network is now publishing a series of policy briefs that provide a deeper exploration of the six domains of the framework, to help advance policymakers’ understanding of the core elements required for the implementation of lung cancer screening.

Each brief will provide key insights and considerations for the effective, equitable and sustainable implementation of lung cancer screening programmes. The policy briefs will also present case studies from countries where implementation is underway and provide policy recommendations to facilitate the successful implementation of lung cancer screening programmes.

The policy briefs focusing on governanceworkforce and technical capacity , financial planning and eligibility and recruitment requirements are now available, with the four remaining briefs being published over the course of July. They can be downloaded from the links below.
