The first six months of 2026 have been full of initiatives for the health of our lungs awareness actions, advocacy, scientific collaboration and outreach!

Our goal remains, as always, to inform and raise awareness about prevention, screening and early diagnosis, and to support our fellow citizens living with lung cancer, along with their caregivers and families.
|
|
|
|
|
FairLife L.C.C., as an active member of Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE), is taking part in the European campaign Get Supported! 2025, highlighting the importance of meaningful support after a lung cancer diagnosis. With a focus on psychosocial support, mental health, nutrition and exercise, clear information and complementary therapies, the campaign sheds light on the real needs of patients and caregivers, reminding us that care continues at every step of the journey.

Lung cancer as an “invisible”, preventable disease takes centre stage in public debate!

A new television public-awareness message by FairLife L.C.C., starring Giorgos Karamichos, with the central slogan “Lung cancer concerns us all”. The spot, broadcast in March 2026 on nationwide television channels, brought into every home the message of prevention, screening and early diagnosis, reminding us that anyone with lungs can develop lung cancer.

Participation of FairLife L.C.C. in the 17th Postgraduate Seminar on Clinical & Research Oncology of ELIEK (12/2), in the session “The role of Patient Associations in clinical trials”. Korina Pateli-Bell discusses international models of patient participation, the active patient in the digital age, the institutional safeguarding of the patient voice and the changes needed within the Greek clinical-trials framework.

A modern, friendly and dynamic digital hub of information and support for lung cancer, designed to make reliable information more immediate, simple and accessible to everyone who seeks it. The development and implementation of the new digital platform was carried out in strategic collaboration with Catalytica.

FairLife L.C.C. supports the Emergency Cases School – E.C.S., the largest action of the Alexandroupoli department of SSHMS, which offered medical students hands-on experience in managing emergency cases.

FairLife L.C.C. takes part in DE TaLK 2026: “Without Shame” at the Athens War Museum (9/5), an initiative of the Athens department of SSHMS that opened a meaningful dialogue on the stigma that accompanies lung cancer.

The 6th open information event “Healthy Lungs” by FairLife L.C.C. takes place in Ioannina (13/5), in collaboration with the Pulmonology Clinic of the University General Hospital of Ioannina, coordinated by Prof. Konstantinos Kostikas, Professor of Pulmonology at the University of Ioannina and Director of the Pulmonology Clinic of the University General Hospital of Ioannina.

More than 1,680 people attended the event in person and online, with the participation of 22 speakers.
As part of the action, the free provision of 60 screening examinations with low-dose computed tomography (Low Dose CT) was announced, bringing prevention and early diagnosis closer to the local community.

FairLife L.C.C. takes part in the 16th Annual Capital Link Sustainability Forum entitled “Public & Private Sector with a Vision for Sustainability” (26/5). FairLife L.C.C. highlights that sustainability is not only about the environment and the economy, but also about people, health, prevention, reducing inequalities and equal access to care.

An open informative MDT webinar by FairLife L.C.C. on the importance of the Multidisciplinary Team in the care of patients with lung cancer. With more than 1,670 participants and 20 speakers, it highlighted the role of collaboration among specialties for more timely, safe and comprehensive treatment decisions.
